Since opening our doors in 2015, we have seen the positive impact our creative classes have on the children we work with. Students come into our doors ridden with anxiety, have poor self-confidence... poor self-esteem. They leave our doors armed with new skills, creative outlets and positive self-confidence/self-esteem.
Donations will be used to hire more qualified staff who are skilled in the arts but also have backgrounds in mental health and counseling. Funds will also be used to pay for the cost of our programs especially for children who need them but cannot afford them.
Support Free Mental Health Community Programs
By November 2023, the Creativity Shell will be opening our doors to grieving members of the community and offer free art classes, group therapy and other mental health related programs to help those in need.Some of the FREE programs we have on deck to offer are: Al-Teen - Alcoholics Anonymous classes for children/teens growing up in an environment with family members suffering/recovering from alcoholism.Art, Painting, Sewing and Pottery Classes for Domestic Violence Survivors, Veterans, Seniors and those overing a loss in their life such as the death of a loved one or divorce.Depression and anxiety support group for Teens - (We are actively searching and will hire a licensed MFA to facilitate this program.)

Your donation supports a semester of sewing/textile arts classes for a student.
Support Cooking Classes in the Juvenile Probation System
Your donation supports 1 student in the Harris County Juvenile Probation system for 4 weeks of cooking classes.
Buy fabrics and supplies!
We receive a lot of donations, but funds are always needed to purchase additional materials and supplies!
